I’m Ahmed Zaghlol, Ph.D., PENG, the proud owner of Innovative Thermal Solutions.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

I’ve always been fascinated with engineering as I felt it contributed significantly to helping the human race evolve. It inspired me to be part of the technical advancements in R&D and manufacturing, so I decided to qualify as an Engineer.

I received my MSc from Alexandria University in 1988, studying computational fluid mechanics. After completing my Ph.D. in Engineering Science from the University of Western Ontario, I joined the Microelectronic Heat Transfer Laboratory (MHTL) at the University of Waterloo as a Postdoctoral Fellow.

Three Decades of Experience

I started my industrial career as an Applications Engineering Manager for R-Theta Thermal Solutions twenty-five years ago. My role enabled me to solve hundreds of thermal management challenges and design thousands of air-cooled, heat-pipes, and liquid-cooled heat sinks.

In the past five years, I joined a multinational corporation and managed a 67,000ft2 facility designing, testing, and manufacturing heat sinks. It increased my knowledge of managing thermal electronic equipment. Therefore, when my employer decided to pull out of Canada in 2020, I had the confidence to start Innovative Thermal Solutions.

Since launching my turnkey engineering and manufacturing business, there have been many logistical bottlenecks due to COVID-19 and other geopolitical issues. As a result, the industry stakeholders in the USA and Canada have realized the need to create a reliable North American supply chain to secure their growth against external threats.

Throughout my career, I was also made aware of local manufacturing being under threat from low-cost countries. Therefore, my mission is to design, manufacture, and ship affordable products for the power electronics industry from my factory in Guelph, Ontario.

I also attribute my success to my passion for helping customers find innovative solutions. To achieve my objective, I partner with customers and utilize my twenty-five years of hands-on experience to solve their thermal challenges.

It helps me to build long-term customer partnerships by designing, testing, and manufacturing quality products on time. As a result, it fills me with immense satisfaction when my business receives client approval for new designs.

Boating and Travelling

When I’m not consulting clients, I enjoy going to the cinema and boating in the summer with my wife. We also love traveling in Canada, the US, and internationally.
